The Actress Says She “Doesn’t Understand” Cancel Culture

The Friends actress, 54, spoke on the subject during an interview with The Wall Street Journal published on Tuesday (Aug. 22).

At one point during the sit-down, Aniston suddenly brought up the subject of “cancel culture,” noting that she’s “so over” it at this point.

She also cheekily remarked, “I probably just got canceled by saying that.”

Elaborating, Jennifer Aniston explained that she doesn’t “understand” what it means to be canceled.

“I just don’t understand what it means.… Is there no redemption? I don’t know. I don’t put everybody in the Harvey Weinstein basket.”

Aniston’s commentary on the subject echoes statements by other celebrities, such as Lizzo saying that cancel culture has “become trendy, misused and misdirected” earlier this year before she was hit with sexual harassment accusations.

Twitter Thinks Jennifer Aniston’s Commentary Contradicts Her Actions Against Jamie Foxx

As The Shade Room previously reported, Jennifer Aniston’s recent interview comes on the heels of her launching accusations of antisemitism against Jamie Foxx.

It all began when Jamie Foxx shared an Instagram post that read, “They killed this dude name Jesus… What do you think they’ll do to you???! #fakefriends #fakelove.”

While Jamie noted that his message was about “fake friends” turning on good people, Jennifer Aniston came out of the woodwork to bash Jamie’s comment and distance herself from the post after being accused of “liking” it.

“This really makes me sick. … I do NOT support any form of antisemitism. And I truly don’t tolerate hate of ANY kind. Period.”

While Jamie later issued a public apology and clarified the true meaning behind his post, Jennifer failed to follow suit.

Of course, considering Jennifer Aniston’s recent jab against Jamie Foxx, people were understandably not here for her suddenly speaking out against “cancel culture.”
